Oh technology. I'll conquer you at some point. Here is yet another attempt. While I work at tumblring I'll share a bit. I am a cake decorator and absolutely love it, I also love baking. There are about a gazillion recipes I'd like to try if only I had the time. I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with the Packers, ice cream, The Office, and basically anything obnoxiously funny.

Moose Cupcakes.

Chocolate cupcakes filled with peanut butter cheesecake. The moose is made from a twinkie dipped in chocolate frosting.

Shark Cupcakes.

Lemonade Cupcake colored blue and Buttercream frosting. Saw these in one of my cupcake books and had to try them. It’s almost summer and I wanted to get in the spirit, haha. Made lemonade cupcakes, amazingly refreshing. Used Twinkies to make the sharks, cookies to make the fins, and Fruit by the Foot to make the mouths. They turned out so cool! Totally ready for summer…or ready to watch Jaws, haha.

Leinenkugel Honey Weiss Cupcakes.

Honey Weiss Cupcakes with a Honey Weiss Cream Cheese Frosting. Not a big beer drinker, but I loved these! I wanted to make some beer cupcakes hoping to ease the pain the Brewers have been causing with their recent performances. While most recipes use Guiness I am a true Wisconsin girl at heart and wanted to use a beer brewed in our wonderful state. So happy with my choice. They were seriously amazing!

Ladybug Cupcakes

Funfetti Cupcakes made with Door County cherry juice. Made the ladybugs by melting red candy melts piping them onto spoons. Let the candy harden back up and voila, ladybugs. Used milk duds for the heads and piped on the spots and stuff with chocolate frosting. They were super cute and very yummy.

Butterfly Cupcakes

Chocolate cupcakes with blackberry ganache. Decorated with chocolate butterflies.

Mum Cupcakes.

Funfetti cupcakes with vanilla frosting. Then I cut marshmallows in half and dipped the sticky side in colored sugars.

Don’t remember which book I saw this in, but it was one of Karen Tack’s, so either Hello, Cupcake or What’s New Cupcake.

Eggshell Cupcakes!

Angel food cake and lemon cake baked inside actual eggshells. Then a few faces drawn on for good measure :)

The idea is super cool and I think they turned out well, they were just a little putzier than I would have liked. But overall it was a good project for Easter.

St. Paddy’s Day Treats

Green Apple Vodka Cupcakes with a Green Apple Vodka Frosting. Honestly one of the better cupcakes I’ve made. The frosting was a little strong, but still good. Easy tip for putting booze into cupcakes, use boxed mixes and just replace the water needed with your desired alcohol.

Green Velvet Cake Pops shaped like beer mugs. Pretty good, but I’m not a big lover of ‘velvet’ cakes. Still fun to do though. And my friends liked them.

Ballerina Cupcakes!

Funfetti Cupcakes. Buttercream tutu. Strawberry wafer cookie and strawberry marshmallow fondant for the top of the dress. Then on the small ones I used royal icing for the tops. It was my first time making marshmallow fondant and I think it went well. The little girl loved them!

Kitty Cat Cupcakes!

Basic Chocolate Cupcakes decorated as cats. Everything on them is edible. The ears are graham crackers, the eyes are jujubes, the noses are runts, the tongues are starbursts, and the cheeks are mentos.
