Oh technology. I'll conquer you at some point. Here is yet another attempt. While I work at tumblring I'll share a bit. I am a cake decorator and absolutely love it, I also love baking. There are about a gazillion recipes I'd like to try if only I had the time. I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with the Packers, ice cream, The Office, and basically anything obnoxiously funny.
Flower Pot Cake.
Made this for Nate’s mom for Mother’s Day. It’s funfetti cake made with Door County cherry juice. Then covered in candy clay, kinda like fondant but tastes way better. Made the flowers out of the same stuff. Used chocolate crunchies as the dirt in the pot. It was my first time covering an entire cake and I thought it went fairly well. From what I hear it tasted fantastic too.
